Why Choose Porcelain Veneer Teeth?
Porcelain veneers represent the pinnacle of veneer dentistry, offering unparalleled benefits that make them the preferred choice for smile transformations. These remarkable dental enhancements are essentially like sophisticated contact lenses for your teeth, designed to transform their colour, contour, and shape while maintaining a completely natural appearance.

Our porcelain veneer teeth are ideal for:
- Repairing broken or chipped teeth
- Correcting irregular or crooked teeth
- Eliminating stubborn discolouration
- Perfecting tooth size and proportion
- Creating harmony in your smile
Every treatment plan is bespoke and thus outcomes are truly individual and vary. In some cases, a dental crown may be needed instead to give more strength and structure.
Nikki’s Smile Journey
Recently, we had Nikki visit us who was unhappy with the appearance of her front teeth. In particular, she felt that over the years and with life’s stresses her front teeth had become worn down, consequently becoming square in appearance. She had started to become self-conscious about her smile and felt in need of a change. After discussing her options, Nikki decided to move forward with four porcelain veneers. She decided to choose porcelain over composite as her extensive research had taught her that porcelain veneers last on average three times longer than composite and from overall aesthetics are streets in front of their counterpart.Dental Veneer Procedure
The dental veneer procedure usually consists of three appointments.
Initial Consultation Appointment 1:
The first step when considering dental veneers is to have an initial consultation appointment at The Good Dentist.
- It is important to have a stable foundation to work with before fitting veneers so x-rays will be taken to assess the health of the teeth and jaw
- We will assess the health of the mouth’s gum tissue and your overall dental health
- The dentist will discuss your options and the best course of action moving forward
Dental Appointment 2:
This appointment typically takes 1 hour and involves aligning the smile by preparing the tooth or teeth.
- Dental veneer sizing is crucial, so you can expect the possibility of shaving down some of the existing tooth enamel in order to ensure the correct fit
- A mould will be taken of the teeth and then sent to a lab to help with the creation of the veneers.
Dental Appointment 3:
This appointment is scheduled after your veneers have been crafted and are ready to be placed.
- Initially, the dental veneer is temporarily placed in position in order to evaluate the fit, colour, shape and overall feel
- A thorough clean of your teeth occurs to ensure no bacteria is trapped under the veneer which may lead to decay
- Once the teeth are clean and the surface of the tooth has been prepared, we use a binding material to cement the veneer to the tooth. The entire fitting procedure lasts approximately 30minutes
- After the new veneers have been fitted and you are feeling comfortable, you are then ready to head home with a brand-new smile

Dental Veneer FAQs
Dental veneers are thin, tooth-coloured porcelain layers fixed onto the front of your teeth that can correct teeth with gaps, stained, discoloured, broken or chipped, crowded-in or crooked, oddly shaped or badly aligned.
Absolutely! Modern porcelain veneers are crafted from advanced ceramic materials that perfectly mimic natural tooth enamel. At The Good Dentist, we take pride in creating veneers that reflect light just like natural teeth, match your desired shade, and are individually designed to complement your facial features. Your new smile will look so natural that most people won’t realise you have veneers.
Costs will vary from patient to patient depending on the number of veneers required. Estimated costs and options will be provided after a full assessment is conducted during your initial consultation.
Porcelain veneers are very durable and on average will last about 10 years, possibly longer. Maintaining consistent and effective oral hygiene with twice-yearly visits to the dentist for a clean and check-up will assist in your veneers lasting longer.
The short answer is no. Our dental veneers are custom-designed to fit over your natural teeth and suit your smile… a perfect fit. The veneers are bonded to your natural teeth with a composite resin that is not harmful to your natural teeth.
Your comfort is our top priority. The veneer procedure is minimally invasive and performed under local anesthetic, ensuring you feel no discomfort. Our spa-like environment and gentle approach help create a relaxing experience. Most patients are pleasantly surprised by how comfortable the entire process is.
